Copy the full contents of the CD to Harddisk, except these (hidden) files: AWCS.AFP, CONFIG.AFP, NEIR.AFP, OKET.AFP, VFAW.AFP these files are dummies to make the CD appear larger than 650 Mb.
Replace the TOMB3.EXE executable with the one from the archive.
Burn the contents of the temporary directory back to a 74 minutes CD-R and use the same CD-Label as the original CD.
Use the previous Tomb Raider 3 [UPDATE] CD-Copy instructions. but before burning the CD-R replace the DATA1.CAB file with this updated cab file from the archive.
NOTE:
If you don't use this file, the installation process will try to copy the TOMB3.EXE file with an invalid filesize (this is because the updated TOMB3.EXE is now 1 kb bigger)

Extract the *.AFP dummy files from the File Archive to the temporary directory.
Extract the TR3CRACK.EXE file from the patch to the game directory.
Execute the patch to remove the CD-Check from: TOMB3.EXE
Remove the patch as it is not needed anymore.
Burn the contents back to a CD-R and leave the CD label blank (as is the original CD label)

Execute it to patch TOMB3.EXE.
Burn the contents back to a CD-R and leave the CD label blank (as is the original CD label)
Use this patch to fix the 'No CD' problem on some systems. If you have a rather uncommon setup of your CD-ROM drive letters (e.g. you got more than one and moved them to the end of the alphabet), then Tomb Raider 3 ISO will most likely refuse to run. The reason is a bug in the CD-Check routine.
Use the previous Tomb Raider 3 [UPDATE] CD-Copy instructions but before burning the CD-R replace the DATA1.CAB file with this updated one.
NOTE:
If you don't use this file, the installation process will try to copy the TOMB3.EXE file with an invalid filesize (this is because the updated TOMB3.EXE is now 1 kb bigger)

IT_SP_FR.EXE - for the ITALIAN/SPANISH/FRENCH release
UK_JP_US.EXE - for the ENGLISH/JAPANESE/USA release

CD-Copy:
Copy the full contents of the CD to Harddisk, except these (hidden) files: AWCS.AFP, CONFIG.AFP, NEIR.AFP, OKET.AFP, VFAW.AFP these files are dummies to make the CD appear larger than 650 Mb.
Copy the full contents of the CD to Harddisk, except these (hidden) files: AWCS.AFP, CONFIG.AFP, NEIR.AFP, OKET.AFP, VFAW.AFP these files are dummies to make the CD appear larger than 650 Mb.
Extract the File Archive and rename the TR3_GER.EXE into TOMB3.EXE
Replace the fixed TOMB3.EXE with the one on harddisk.
Burn the contents back to a CD-R and make sure that the CD-Label is the same as the original.
As you might know there are 4 tracks on the original CD, 3 of them are FAKE (dummy tracks). Only the first track is valid so don't worry about missing music etc.
Also if you look at the files on the CD you will see that there are 5 hidden dummy files which are very big is size (about 3 Gb in total!).
These are the BIG dummy files:
awcs.afp
config.afp
neir.afp
oket.afp
vfaw.afp
The first crack I made (TR3CRACK.ZIP) needed these files to be on the CD. So only a uncracked ImageCopy was possible.
This apparently gives problems with some software so here is another way to make a fixed CD-Copy:
Copy the full contents of the CD to harddisk, except for the dummy files!
Make the following file Read/Write: TOMB3.EXE
Patch TOMB3.EXE (966656 bytes) using this file:
ETM3.EXE - for the ENGLISH/EURO Release
GTM3.EXE - for the GERMAN Release
Burn the contents back to a CD-R and leave the CD label blank (as is the original CD label)
NOTE:
Both the ENGLISH & GERMAN have the same filesize (966656 bytes). Make sure you use the right patch for the right language!
For all other language versions that might exist of this game
The ENGLISH/EURO patch now also appears for work for the US, FRENCH & ITALIAN version of TR3!
These patches don't work if you already used the previous patch!
Grab all 4 tracks to harddisk (I used WinOnCD to do this, other burn software will also work).
These are the available tracks:
track1.raw - data track
track2.raw - fake music track
track3.raw - fake music track
track4.raw - fake data track
Create & Burn a Mixed Mode CD using track 1 & 4, leave out track 2 & 3 to make the CD smaller than 74 minutes (some of the burn software don't allow Data/Audio/Audio/Data tracks).
Install the game.
Patch TOMB3.EXE (966656 bytes) using this file: TMB3CRACK.EXE
Play the game!
NOTE:
This patch should work on any version of this game
